About Vietnam Vietnam is one of few countries that make up Southeast Asia alongside countries like Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and etc.The capital of the country is Hanoi located north while the largest city being Ho Chi Minh which was used to be known as Saigon is located in the south. The country extends 1,025 miles north to south and about 30 miles east to west. Its head of government consists of prime minister Pham Minh Chinh and head of state being president Vo Van Thuong. With that being said the country is a socialist republic country with only having one legislative house. Aside from that the country's long coastline provides the country with great access to marine resources and its beaches are great for the development of tourism. The country also has diverse cultural traditions, geography, and historical events.
